Koiwa Iris Garden Iris Festival Overview
The Koiwa Iris Garden, a 5-minute walk from Edogawa Station on the Keisei Main Line, is home to approximately 50,000 irises that come into bloom every June. The iris garden, which stretches along the banks of the spacious Edogawa River, will attract visitors with approximately 100 varieties of colorful irises, including purple, white, yellow, and others in full bloom. In addition to irises, hydrangeas and water lilies also bloom beautifully, providing a unique atmosphere during the rainy season. From the riverbed, visitors can watch the trains crossing the Keisei Electric Railway’s railway bridge, which is popular as a photo spot because of the exquisite contrast between the irises and the trains. There are benches and shaded areas in the park where you can take a rest, and we recommend that you bring your own lunch and enjoy a picnic. On weekends, the park is crowded with locals selling flowers, bread, cookies, and other goods.
