Awajishima Park Hydrangea Festival 2025
From June 7 (Sat) to July 6 (Sun), the Prefectural Awajishima Park will hold the Hydrangea Festival!
About 9,000 colorful hydrangeas of about 40 varieties will color the park in a spectacular way, making it a relaxing spot in early summer.
In addition to the annual stamp rally and photo contest, a hydrangea class will be held on the last day of the festival! Let’s enjoy the summer’s poetic charm of hydrangea ◎

Awaji Island Park Hydrangea Festival 2025 Outline
Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park will hold a hydrangea festival from June 7 (Sat) to July 6 (Sun). Approximately 9,000 hydrangeas of about 40 varieties will be planted throughout the park to create a colorful early summer scene.
During the festival, a stamp rally will be held at three stamp points in the park, and a photo contest will be held for visitors to compete for the best photo.
On the last day of the event, a workshop will be held where visitors can learn how to prune hydrangeas and take cuttings with an instructor (advance registration is required).
Admission is free, so feel free to drop by and enjoy this event with your children!
- The stamp rally will include a photo contest as well as an original can badge!
- Approximately 9,000 hydrangeas are a sight to behold. This is a major popular spot where the gradation of white to blue to purple spreads beautifully.
- After 17:00, the road between “Hydrangea Valley” and “Forest Plaza” will be closed.
- The pruning and cutting experience on the last day is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance registration is required to participate. Contact the Awaji Island Park Office (0799-72-5377)
