Osaka Prefectural Forest, Nukata Park 2025 Hydrangea Festival Outline
Nukata Hydrangea Garden, located halfway up Mt. Ikoma in Higashi-Osaka City, will hold the “Hydrangea Festival” from June 21 (Sat) to July 13 (Sun). 25,000 hydrangea plants, the largest in the Kansai region, including 30 different varieties of hydrangea (including the fantastic “Shichidanbana”), will bloom along a 1,500 meter promenade in a variety of colors, attracting hikers to the garden. The colorful blooms attract hikers visiting the area.
The park is open as a free walking area, and an information center opens on weekends to offer beverages and cold treats such as shaved ice. Visitors can fully enjoy nature experiences unique to early summer, from the photogenic fun of searching for heart-shaped flowers while passing through a tunnel of flowers and greenery to hiking with children or in groups. Choose a course based on the information board and map installed in front of the office and take a leisurely walk along the lush green Tomo Ame trail.

- The number of hydrangeas is overwhelming, and it is rare to see 25,000 hydrangeas.
- Visitors can enjoy more than 30 varieties of diverse hydrangeas, including “shichidan-hana,” which was once considered a phantom hydrangea.
- Don’t forget to take a picture when you find the heart-shaped hydrangea you’re looking for!
