Kyoto Botanical Garden, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024, will be open at night for a limited time! This is a special time to enjoy the mysterious other world of plants that is different from the daytime. This is a rare opportunity to experience the new expression of plants with all five senses through light, sound, set design, and projections by Moment Factory, a world-class media art group!

Kyoto Botanical Garden LIGHT CYCLES KYOTO Overview
An immersive art event created by Moment Factory, one of the world’s leading multimedia studios, under the theme of “biodiversity” at the Kyoto Botanical Garden, the oldest public botanical garden in Japan, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The event is divided into four experience areas, where visitors can enjoy an immersive experience of how plants interact with each other and communicate with each other in a fantastical world of light and sound.
It is an opportunity to experience the world of flowers and trees in a garden space at night, which is different from everyday life, and to feel a new connection between nature and people.
- The environment is divided into four areas of completely different colors and light, allowing visitors to experience a variety of plant forms.
- Since the exhibition is held in a greenhouse, visitors can enjoy it safely regardless of rain, cold, or heat.
- A limited-edition store themed on plants and light is also open. Visitors can get original products such as key chains and T-shirts.
- Public transportation is recommended as the parking lot is expected to be crowded.
