The 23rd Satte Hydrangea Festival
A colorful hydrangea corridor with about 10,000 hydrangeas in full bloom. The “Satte Hydrangea Festival” is held at Gongendo Tsutsumi in Satte City, Saitama Prefecture, during the rainy season when the hydrangeas are at their best. Gongendo Tsutsumi is famous for its cherry blossoms in spring and manjushage (red spider lily) in autumn, but during the rainy season, the banks are decorated with about 10,000 hydrangea plants. Visitors can enjoy various kinds of hydrangeas while strolling along the promenade.

Gongendo Tsutsumi in Satte City, Saitama Prefecture, is known for its cherry blossoms in spring and manjushage in fall, but during the rainy season, approximately 10,000 hydrangea plants of more than 100 varieties bloom, creating a magnificent “hydrangea corridor. The hydrangeas planted on both sides of the embankment attract visitors with their various shades of blue, purple, pink, and white.
