Papilio is run by a young couple in Hommachi, one of Osaka’s leading office districts.
We asked the youthful couple about their store!
Mr. Papilio’s “character.”
The name “Papilio” was chosen because the family crest and female crest passed down in the female lineage of the owner, Rio Yumiba, is a butterfly. In particular, Rio’s grandmother inspired her to get in touch with plants, so she chose this name to express her gratitude to her family as well.
Papilio’s unique approach is to listen carefully to customers’ thoughts and deepest feelings, which are often abstract and difficult to convey through conversations with customers, interpret them correctly, and reflect them in wrapping and design.Even if they say they leave it up to me, I always ask them what they envision.
If you are not used to buying flowers, you can often only give a rough idea of what you are looking for, but it is very reassuring when the store owner is friendly and accommodating in this way.

The assortment of products is also unique. Leo, the owner of the shop, is in charge of purchasing flowers, and he uses his discerning eye to purchase not only common flowers, but also rare items with different colors and shapes. On the day I visited, there were many rare flowers on display.

A restaurant appreciated by busy businessmen.
Hommachi is a big office area and many people are too busy to come to the store during the daytime. So Papilio’s is open until 9:30 p.m., to our surprise. This is a point of support from many people, including businessmen who buy flowers to take home or those who take flowers to a dinner party.
Another attraction of Papilio’s is that it is easy for male customers to enter the store, as Leo is there on an irregular basis.
The bright white interior is designed to make it easy to come in, and the fact that anyone can easily wander in is another reason why Papilio is loved by the local community.

A diverse product lineup♪
Speaking of Papilio’s, it was featured in “Kantera Yo-i Don! Ribbon flowers were also featured in the “ Kantele’s Yo-i Don! Papilio has been awarded the title of “Neighborhood Living National Treasure.
Ribbon flowers are an original product designed by Papilio, with vivid colors that cannot be found in actual flowers, and can be supplied in a box, making them ideal as gifts. They are also a great gift for hospitals and other places where it is not possible to send fresh flowers.

Another highlight of Papilio’s products is the [Make It Yourself! A Manly Proposal Daisakusen”.
This plan allows men to make their own bouquets for marriage proposals. Leo, who has experience proposing, will support you in a manly manner, so even those who are new to flowers can participate in this plan without worry.
In addition, we will send photos and videos of the bouquet being bundled to customers who request it, so they can use it as a surprise or for staging at a wedding.
Proposing with a bouquet you made yourself is so romantic and wonderful. The person you are proposing to is sure to be delighted with the bouquet you have made with them in mind.

The restaurant is only a 2-minute walk from Honmachi Station, so please visit us for a visit.
