Gunma Prefecture Shimonita Hydrangea Garden 2025 Hydrangea Viewing Time Information Overview
The Shimonita Hydrangea Garden in Gunma Prefecture aims to be the largest hydrangea garden in the Kanto region. With approximately 20,000 hydrangea plants, it is one of the largest hydrangea spots in the Kanto region. Located at the eastern entrance of Shimonita Town, the town took the lead in planting hydrangea saplings in 2004, and a “Hydrangea Growers Association” was formed by local volunteers to care for and manage the garden. The wishes of the local community have led to the current scale number of hydrangeas.
During the opening season, woodchips are laid on the walking paths, making the environment easy to walk on. (Please wear comfortable walking shoes as the garden is on a slope.)
Local vegetables are sold at the store.
Dogs are also allowed in the park, so you can take a memorable photo with your dog.
Please enjoy the 20,000 hydrangeas, one of the most powerful and impressive in Kanto.
