Tomanosato Hydrangea Garden is a famous Japanese hydrangea garden maintained and opened by the Nishiwaki Hydrangea Association, established in 1976, on the hillside within the precincts of Nishi Rinji Temple, a flower temple. Approximately 3,000 hydrangeas are planted on the 12,000 m2 site. Various varieties of hydrangeas, such as the Gaku-hydrangea, Yama-hydrangea, and Kashiwa-ha-hydrangea, bloom colorfully in the rainy season sky.
The park is equipped with barrier-free paths and benches, making it safe for the elderly and people with baby strollers to walk around. During the period, the adjacent cafe “TUMA Koi Cafe” will be open for business, offering cake sets and other seasonal menu items for a relaxing break. This is one of the largest hydrangea strolling spots in Kita-Harima.
