Aino Hydrangea Garden Hydrangea Viewing Period Overview
Aino Hydrangea Garden is a paradise of hydrangeas that opened in 1985. The garden boasts 20,000 hydrangeas of about 100 varieties, selected from among the best varieties in Japan.
The color of the hydrangea flowers is a mystery, and even the same variety can change slightly depending on the pH of the soil, rainfall, and sunlight.
At Aino Hydrangea Garden, you can see a lot of hydrangeas such as reddish-pink colored red forehead hydrangea, fantastic whirling shape of Uzu hydrangea, and rare seven-step hydrangea called “phantom hydrangea.
Since the Ajisai-en is located in the food and nature theme park “Kasaya,” visitors can also enjoy unique gourmet foods such as shiitake mushroom ice cream from the shiitake mushroom garden that is located next to the Ajisai-en!
