Hydrangea Festival at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park Outline
The “Hydrangea Festival” is an event held in the renewed Hydrangea Forest, which adds color to early summer in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park. About 50 varieties of hydrangeas, including new varieties of gaku hydrangea, yamahydrangea, and anabelle, bloom colorfully in the sunlight under the trees, creating a gradation of blue and purple. There are many varieties of hydrangeas in pink, white, and blue-purple, and they can also change color, which is also known as shichiken (seven transformations). Why not come and see the beautiful flowers in bloom for the only time of the year?

- It is easily accessible from the city, making it easy to enjoy the hydrangeas.
- From 6/21 to 6/29, haiku written by the public about hydrangeas in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park will be posted. An opportunity to enjoy Japanese culture
