Ome City, Tokyo [Shiobune Kannonji Temple] Hydrangea Overview
The “Hydrangea Garden,” which stretches on the eastern slope behind the main building of Shiobune Kannon-ji Temple, features mainly gaku hydrangeas and kashiwaba hydrangeas, which are as wild and colorful as the hydrangeas that bloom in the fields and mountains. The path leading from the temple gate to the Amida Hall is lined with vivid hydrangeas blooming under the sunlight through the trees, allowing visitors to enjoy the atmosphere of early summer while paying a quiet visit to the temple. This red seal with a very cute hydrangea flower-patterned thin paper is inspired by the quietness of Kannon-ji Temple during the rainy season.

Delicious madeleines made from Ome eggs and hydrangea tea, a gentle tea of natural origin that changes color from bright blue to reddish purple like hydrangeas, are also offered! Please enjoy them while taking a break from strolling.
